This calendar’s proceeds help to fund the various programs of King’s Castle Compassion Ministries in El Salvador.

The greatest example of “compassion” can be found in Jesus Christ who cared so much for us that He willingly gave His own life so that you and I could have a way to escape certain eternal damnation because of our sins.

In the 3 years prior to His crucifixion on the cross, Jesus also attended to the physical needs of the people to whom He ministered.  The Bible says He made blind eyes to see, deaf ears to hear.  He fed thousands who were hungry and even brought back to life several who had died.

The King’s Castle Compassion Ministries follow the example of Jesus Christ by attending to the physical suffering of the people to whom they minister by providing no-cost quality medical and dental care to the ill.  Their feeding programs provide thousands of meals to the children, elderly, and homeless who would otherwise go hungry.  “Compassion” means Rescue Homes to protect and shelter those most vulnerable, and elementary schools to give children a future. “Compassion” means giving a Christmas party with a little toy, for some children the only toy they will receive.

The children illustrated in “King’s Castle Compassion Ministries 2008” participate in the feeding programs.  These kids are just like yours.  They make up games when playing with each other and come running when they see you. They love to pose for the camera.  They give great hugs.  They are great kids who need your help.

Their photos may make some of you smile, others they may make cry, but they will also make you think about your many blessings and think about your responsibilities to help alleviate the suffering of those stricken by misfortune, a feeling known as “compassion.”
